Relaunch in this case meaning I’ve downloaded the Tumblr app onto my phone.
Boojum in the windswept chilly lane leading from the Jervis St luas stop to the well heeled Italian Quarter is the place for Burritos.
Recently reopened, the Royal Marine in Dun Laoghaire is an excellent place to take a small child after a walk by the sea. The tea service is pleasingly elaborate ( including loose leaf, and the all important refill pot of hot water) but is cheaper than its equivalent in the city centre at only €4. Service is a little spotty- very friendly, but perhaps a little forgetful. Don’t hesitate to go looking for your order if you think its taking too long- it may never arrive.
The Dun bistro, the more formal dining room, is a very pleasant place with a cracking deal on a three course lunch with coffees for €25. No service problems here at all. Hot water for bottles provided, after some explanation.
Simon McGarr: @Eateries shelbourne lord mayor’s lounge has the best tea experience. But a bit of unwanted attitude getting a seat (via Text Message)
Simon McGarr: @eateries Westin Brunch was a lovely, outrageous smorgasbord. Only heavy cakes let down the great choices inc. a Chocolate fountain (via Text Message)
Simon McGarr: @eateries Sunday Brunch in the Westin Hotel only serving from 12.30 to 1.30. Pretty strict interpretation of the lazy Sunday Brunch. (via Text Message)
Simon McGarr: @eateries Christof’s in Smithfield. Monster roasts in a roll. Leave room for dessert. (via Text Message)
Simon McGarr: @eateries Enoteca de Langhe in the Quartier Bloom, by Millenium Bridge. Good fresh pasta at a reasonable price. Buffla Bruchetta a bit dull. (via Text Message)
